(Nashville, TN, April 30, 2003) – ClinixMIS has announced John Phillips as the newest member of their Board of Directors.
Phillips, President of Pivot Health, Inc. since 2000, has been involved in physician operations for almost thirty years. In 1998, as PhyCor Vice President of Group Operations, Phillips assumed responsibility for initiating efforts at developing a division dedicated to working with physicians in health systems.
Phillips received his B.S.B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University in 1969. In 1973, he became Administrator/CEO of Miller Medical Group in Nashville and a member of MGMA, serving as President of the Tennessee MGMA in 1979. In 1980, Mr. Phillips was instrumental in developing Tennessee’s first HMO, PruCare, in conjunction with Prudential. After integrating Miller Medical, Tennessee’s largest medical group at the time, into the PhyCor organization in 1989, Phillips joined PhyCor as Vice President of Operations. In 1995, Phillips was promoted to Vice President of Group Operations responsible for 14 clinic operations across seven states. He remained with PhyCor until his appointment as President of Pivot Health in 2000.
